Some Kids Egged My Car

I’m a junior in Highschool. I live in Minneapolis. This means I know a bunch of the most mentally incapable, low life kids in the world. Class A jackasses.

Last night I was out with my friends and I decided to bike instead of driving because it was so nice out. I street park my car because project Civic is taking up the garage right now. My dad bought this car in 1995 and gave it to me in 2015. It has been street parked for 21 years, and only one incident took place. Some moron decided to cut through the top for my dads box of tapes, Which consisted of mostly Smiths and The Cure. Hope that guy was happy.

Anyway some morons from my school egged it last night and left egg shaped scratches all over and stained the top. I don’t instigate shit at school. I’m not a jackass. I just go to school and come home and be a person. I’m pretty sure they just decided to throw eggs at my car because I have a fun car and they don’t. That sure was nice of them.

I spent like an hour and a half picking egg yolk and shells off the car. From under the hood and in the pop ups.

Seriously, fuck you whoever did that

Wash it off asap, and make sure you get all of it. Some assholes in my neighborhood egged my beater and I didn’t notice for a few days...by then it was too late, it destroyed the paint.

I think I’ll just figure out who it is at school tomorrow and have a little chat with them. If they’re being a dick I’ll contact their parents and talk about making them pay for a paint refinish and maybe top replacement. It’s an old top anyways.

Hate to say it, but they exist at every stage of life — HS, College, Adulthood. The nice thing is that the older you get, the easier it is to avoid them. For the most part anyway.

Hopefully the car is a-okay.

Do they avoid using salt in minneapolis? Was there last week. Every car I saw in Marshall was rusted out, while everything looked pristine in Minneapolis.

Miata looks good, don’t stress the little shit. My old Genesis coupe got keyed twice before getting totaled when a 17 yr old failed to yield turning left while I was going through an intersection. Just keep it clean, treat the rust, do little touch ups here and there, and prep for a respray when the car has earned it... life’s too short. Go in happy as hell on Monday and wait for someone to bring it up...

Funny - he’d done Bad to the Bone as maybe the second song, and when he came back for encores, he did it again when people started screaming for it. He may have done Reelin’ and a Rockin’ twice as well, but I’m fuzzy on that.

Don’t try and fight them; they could prosecute that as assault, and if you do try and prosecute for vandalism, you getting in a fight wouldn’t look good in the eyes of a judge.
